Kids will have so much fun learning about feelings and practicing self-regulation when they R.E.A.C.H. to Connect with the EQ Kids Crew!
This seven-week group will incorporate students' seven core emotions (happy, sad, bad, fearful, angry, surprised, and disgusted) in a fun and interactive environment, while they focus on the R.E.A.C.H. Principles for Kids: Respecting themselves and others; Empowering and encouraging themselves to be their best; Adapting to change and new things; Caring for themselves and others; and Hearing with their senses.
This program was built on the evidence-based practices that align with CASEL's five core competencies of emotional intelligence.
In this program, kids will learn:
How to identify their emotions.
How emotions impact themselves and others.
Empathize and have compassion.
What self-regulation strategies work best for them.
How to implement the R.E.A.C.H. Principles in their everyday interactions with caregivers, family members, other children, and teachers.
